Iranian Forces State Strike on American Facility in Bahrain, As Part of Widespread Military Operations.
Iranian forces say they have struck a US naval base in Bahrain, as Iran launched operations throughout the Middle East in response for a large-scale and continuing attack targeting the nation by the United States and Israeli forces.
Large columns of dark smoke were observed billowing from an vicinity close to the main base of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Bahrain's capital, Manama. The full scale of any damage is unclear and the American officials has not commented.
Airspace Engagements
Elsewhere across the region, the United Arab Emirates, the State of Qatar and Kuwait - which all house American military installations - reported they have engaged and destroyed incoming projectiles in their airspace.
In the Qatari capital, Qatar's defence ministry said it had successfully engaged a number of projectiles seemingly aimed at the Al Udeid Air Base, the biggest US military installation in the region.
IRGC Statement
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard stated it was targeting American facilities and interests as part of operation "Truthful Promise 4", in retaliation for the strikes on the Islamic Republic carried out by the US and Israel on Saturday.
That initial attack - initiated at around 06:15 GMT - has so far focused on locations linked to the the regime, with President Trump urging the Iranian people to revolt against the government.
Additional Developments
In Israel, air raid sirens sounded across the country after the Israeli military reported it had identified an incoming Iranian missile barrage.
The Ministry of Defence of the United Arab Emirates announced that the country has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"Emirati air defenses responded to the missiles with high efficiency and shot down a series of missiles," it added.
Officials reported debris landed in a neighborhood in the capital, causing some property damage and killing a civilian.
The US Air Force operates from Al Dhafra Air Base, south of Abu Dhabi, along with the Emirati Air Force.
