The Perfect Pocket Monster Legends: Z-A Super Form Based on the Zodiac Sign
This comeback of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked widespread enthusiasm within the community. From the gradual reveal of fresh additions before the game's launch, to players developing strong views on the full roster of Mega Evolutions, there's plenty for enthusiasts to anticipate.
Given many of the Mega Evolutions showcasing unique appearances that emphasize their traits, one idea came to mind: What's the best way to connect this with astrology? This list is inspired by a mix of vibes, sign stereotypes, and personal experience.
Aries – Super Camerupt
Honestly, Houndoom was nearly chosen for Aries, as they are the Mega Pokémon and zodiac symbol that inspire the greatest apprehension. But, a Super Houndoom comes across as always furious, which doesn't match the Ram's energy, known for being playful, cheerful, and impulsive. This makes the Ram far more similar to Mega Camerupt, which solely spews lava when provoked. Stay on the good side of either and enjoy a strong ally; should you offend them, be ready to get burned.
Taurus – Mega Heracross
Similar to a devoted Taurus, the steadfast Heracross, both in its regular and Super Form, has assisted many trainers in Legends: Z-A. Though trustworthy, each the Pokémon and a Bull are also Fighting types, and – whether it's their companion or a strong opinion – will stand up for their position to the end. The thing about Mega Heracross that reminds me most of my Taurus friends, though, is its unashamed passion for snacks. Several past Pokédex entries note their craving for tasty tree sap and how it employs its appendage to collect it everything, which is pure Taurus energy.
The Twins – Mega Medicham
Observe this total royalty. You cannot tell me this Pokémon is not the life of any gathering, providing an endless fountain of gossip to anyone who wants to listen. Much like an enrapturing, sociable Twins, it's very easy to imagine Mega Medicham captivating an whole open area with their stories. This Pokémon's official description also mentions its capacity to predict an opponent's future actions, which seems quite like a people-smart Twins.
The Crab – Mega Manectric
Cancer is commonly regarded as the most sensitive sign of the astrological wheel, a passionate symbol known for frequently getting absorbed in their emotions. According to the Pokédex, Mega Evolution fills the Pokémon with a “tremendous quantity of electricity, but it's too much for Manectric to completely manage,” which sounds a lot like a typical Crab emotional outburst. It is also known for its ability to make a storm cloud over its very self – and if there’s one thing a Crab is likely to do, it’s spoil their own parade.
The Lion – Super Starmie
Well, did you assume I was going to pick Pyroar for the lion of the stars? Besides the reality that it would be far too on the nose, Leo is clearly Super Starmie, the star whose gams just went viral for being too glamorous (or horrifying, depending on your preference). Players were captivated from the violet sea star, and that’s precisely the identical energy a Lion brings to the scene. This Pokémon is also rumored to be transmitting radio waves from its red core out into space, and it’s typical of a Lion to be putting on a show, albeit for aliens.
Virgo – Super Victreebel
The always-ready and perpetually-anxious Maiden is ideally represented in Mega Victreebel, the Mega with constant digestive issues. The sign famous for being endearingly critical is strongly mirrored throughout this Pokémon’s entire lineage, from a always shocked expression like a Virgo when you tell them you don’t have a retirement plan, to its upside-down face that’s similar to the symbol a Maiden sends to the group chat when all says they want to “be spontaneous” rather than making a plan.
The Scales – Super Audino
Observe this sweet, sensitive being, who uses the sensors on its auditory organs to detect how others are feeling by their pulse. Always compassionate – sometimes to a detriment – and striving to maintain the harmony, there are numerous Scales who would probably benefit from Mega Audino’s abilities. However, let’s be honest, it would likely just make them worry even more about others.
The Scorpion – Mega Banette
This Ghost-type is a Pokémon with a surprisingly tragic backstory: Abandoned as a toy, it became sentient through sheer resentment and vowed revenge on its former owner. According to the Pokédex, Super Evolution, “increases its vindictiveness.” That seems exactly like several discussions I’ve had with my intense Scorpio acquaintances. A Scorpion adores cosmic justice and comeuppance, making them the perfect match with Mega Banette.
The Archer – Super Hawlucha
Both Super Hawlucha and Archers are always putting on a performance. As a Archer personally, the number of occasions I’ve called myself some variation of a “silly small entertainer” is innumerable. The most flamboyant and most attention-seeking Super Form, its description even mentions how it “poses to show off its power.” I would do the very same thing if I had some kind of Mega evolved form, making Super Hawlucha the most apt Archer counterpart I can think of.
The Goat – Mega Absol
Did you know that a Super Absol has the power to predict disasters ahead of time? That exudes the exact same energy as a Goat, who often consistently think they’re right. Interestingly, similar to a prophetic Mega Absol, they often are. It’s also the absolute initial Mega Evolution that players encounter in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Capricorn to get in on the ground floor of the Mega trend.
The Water Bearer – Super Chandelure
Aloof air sign Water Bearer is possibly the non-fire sign that is closest to a flame symbol – its counterpart is the Lion, and there are numerous jokes about Sagittarius and Aquarius being chaotic partners in crime. Mega Chandelure’s double Ghost/Fire typing matches seamlessly with this, and the Super Form's general daunting presence is also extremely Aquarius. If you weren’t already persuaded, the Mega’s Pokédex entry says it “absorbs negative energy and transforms it into power.” If that fails to exactly {encaps
