The Streaming Giant Selects Spot-On Actor for Bentham in One Piece Upcoming Installment
The Secret Organization is set to make a major impact in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, although the real showdown won’t unfold until the next season, and a cherished, popular member has recently been selected.
Netflix announced recently that the talented performer will appear in the One Piece season 3 cast and will play Bon Clay. Bon Clay possesses the power to morph into an identical duplicate of any person they’ve laid a hand on with their main hand. The actor, who is non-binary and prefers they/them pronouns, will portray a version of that role reinterpreted as non-binary identifying, as opposed to as a drag artist, in the real-life adaptation, as in the source material and animated series.
This performer is joined by multiple fresh additions who will portray Baroque Works to the screen, such as head Mr. 0, played by the seasoned performer, a talented actress as Miss Goldenweek, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who also joins the lineup as the monarch of the fictional land.
Although the role is a major member of the group, the persona won’t make their debut One Piece season 3. With the second season expected to adapt the Little Garden storyline, this signals a notable change in the timing of the character’s debut, one that could indicate more adjustments to the narrative framework.
The actor’s combination of excellent comedic sense and deep sensitivity makes them a perfect fit for the part. Besides their current animated role in the youth-focused cartoon movie Boys Go to Jupiter, they garnered significant recognition and numerous honors for writing and starring in the successful stage production Oh Mary!, emphasizing the adaptability they’ll add to one of One Piece’s widely praised figures.
The streaming service’s real-life One Piece series is due to premiere for its next installment on March 10, 2026.
