Massive Hailstones and Widespread Damage

Homeowners reported giant hailstones measuring up to 7cm in some areas. Meteorological experts confirmed that various areas across the state had been impacted by substantial ice precipitation.

Weather Forecast

Damp conditions were forecast to persist along much of eastern Queensland this coming days as a atmospheric system continued to pull in damp air against the coastal areas.

The following day was predicted as the heaviest precipitation period, with continued storm activity expected across different parts of both areas.
